Former FBI agent John Becker returns in Wiltse's most absorbing shocker yet. An inmate from a prison is sending Becker anonymous, coded messages. Decoding them, Becker agrees to meet the inmate--who then cuts a deal for his freedom with Becker's hated superior, Hatcher. But even Becker can't anticipate the kindof wily demon Hatcher has unwittingly unleashed.

The character John Becker is somewhat similar to Lucas Davenport....with even a more "darker side". As much as I love all the Sandford novels....if limited i would prob choose David Wiltse depth stories, rough as they are. All of Wiltse's works are just great.
