This is a sequel of sorts to "Chronicles of Avonlea" by the author of "Anne of Green Gables", though you don't have to have read the former to understand the latter. It's a series of short stories concerning the residents of Avonlea, Prince Edward Island. Most are comedic, though a couple are surprisingly dark, and Anne Shirley herself appears briefly.
Fans of L.M. Montgomery's writing will enjoy these stories, but a couple are a little twee.
