My 16 mos boy loves it! He can recognize the diff of each dog. He searches each page for the same dog (first, the "yap yap" one), then searches for the others, one kind of dog at a time. Now he can recognize the cat at the last page and "meow" all through the house! We did share happy time together during the "Shelter-In-Place"order. Next, I have to shop online to get him a puppy toy.

A book that we (parent and toddler) have loved so much that we will likely buy this one at some point! Great at 19 months. Among the Sandra Boynton books, this one is one of my favorites along with "Snuggle Puppy" and "Personal Penguin". They are so much fun to read together.

There is very little to this book. Each page has an increasing number of dogs, and the new one is introduced. Basically, the point is to introduce numbers to very young children. It's a very quick read.

My almost-two year old loves doggies and therefore he loves Doggies. As with Boynton's other books, the art is charming and cartoonish.

If I was going to recommend a Sandra Boynton book, my favourite is "Are You a Cow?".

Updating my rating as the book gets better with more readings. There's no more to it, of course, but as you develop a rhythm for the barks/woofs, it's way more fun to read. And my toddler still adores it, requesting multiple reads per day.

My 19month old daughter loves this book but I can't stand it.
