Part 3 in this British drama about civilian undercover agents stationed in France during occupation. Actors are many familiar faces from BBC series. The video is old, but well done, and it seems the producers made a good effort to use accurate locations. Old style portrayal of violence does not show any blood, although there are more shootings than earlier in the series. Based on true events in the Vassieux-en-Vercors region, this series gives a war perspective from a confusing resistance point of view.

Nice movie about spies and saboteurs in WWII Nazi occupied France. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Read the other comments for more...

This series finale, set at the end of WWII, moves the venue to the French Alps, as British agents support villages which have up to now evaded Nazi occupation, something you don’t often hear about. It’s a real nail-biter, sometimes hard to watch, but I found it completely absorbing.

Season 3 was the least dry of the first two seasons. While all three were good, the first two were a tad bit tedious and slow, but yet, one knew you would be rewarded if you could keep still and watch it. All three seasons were exciting once they got started. Season 3, however, was the saddest one for me. But, why is Shirley Henderson's picture front and center? She wasn't even the star of the show. I thought it was going to be all about her with her picture gracing the cover, but it was more of an ensemble production. I didn't like the ending---too sad. I wanted everyone to live and tell stories to their children and grandchildren, but, I realize that's how it was back then and in any war. Kevfarley said it was inaccurate and soapy--well, so what. It's called fiction. It's called a tv show. It's called entertainment. I don't know what's inaccurate about it. I don't know if there really is a LeCrest, but so what. Books and tv shows make up towns all the time. I'm glad I watched all three.
