I really wish I had been able to enjoy this more. The writing just didn't click with me, and neither did the characters. Magical realism does not seem to be my gig anyways. I think this is a very important book. I love the diversity, the handling of harder topics. But, sadly, overall this book is something I merely liked. I hope others will get more out of it than I was able to.
